Account & Data Deletion

We respect your right to privacy and complete control over your personal data on Borrow Nearby.

⚠️ Important Notice: Deleting your account will permanently erase your profile, active listings, booking history, uploaded verification images, and authentication records. This action cannot be undone.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Instant)

You can instantly erase your account and all associated data directly within the mobile application:

Open the Borrow Nearby app.
Go to the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
Scroll down and tap Delete account.
Confirm the deletion prompt. Your session and records will be deleted immediately.

Option 2: Web / Email Request

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your device, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

Please provide the phone number or email registered with your account. We will process your deletion request within 48 hours.

What Happens After Deletion?

Your profile, name, avatar, and phone number are purged from active databases.
All active and paused item listings are removed from neighborhood search.
Chat messages and handover verification photos are permanently deleted.
Anonymized aggregate transaction logs required for financial compliance are retained strictly in accordance with local taxation laws.
